Chosen Chaos Space Marine of Khorne.

With the release of the new Chaos Space Marine Codex i have been pledging to finally dive into 6th Edition 40k.

The release of the new rules set, though brilliant, left me feeling stranded.  My Entire Armoured Chaos Space Marine force was left feeling decidedly gibbed.  It is clear the importance of troop transports has been reduced greatly in the game, and though while they are useful they now work in an entirely different way to before.  Squads buying transports to get into the fray faster seem better off walking now.



I'd pretty much mentally divorced myself from my previous Chaos army (the Blood Disciples) and decided a new project was in need to get the blood (pardon the pun) flowing again.

The marine pictured above is the first i am working on for the new army, having tried out about 5 different colour schemes i have settled on the traditional red and gold.  Fully embracing my patron god, Khorne.

I love the fact that a Chaos Lord mounted on a Juggernaut of Khorne is no a viable choice again, but until an individual model is released in plastic or finecast i have decided to turn to one of my childhood heroes, Khârn the Betrayer.

I'm opting for nearly pure close assault, I'm looking at a horde of cultists backed up by Slaughterfiends, Mutilators, Warp Talons and all manner of close combat horror.
